FDY spinning systems

Particularly with FDY spinning of standard qualities, in the course of the installation of polyester systems with ever higher daily outputs (up to 600 tonnes per day) a revolution has taken place. In the commodity area, direct spinning plants have almost completely replaced extruder spinning. In order to spin the high output without quality suffering, the FDY sector demanded radical innovations.

At the end of the 1990s, Barmag had already developed a whole series of new solutions for its 12-end ACW winder. These are also able to bear craft winders with higher thread numbers (16 and 20 threads). The first polyester FDY systems with the 20-ends i-QOON-double winder have been used successfully since the beginning of 2006 for a titer range of 50 to 75 denier with speeds of around 5,000 m/minute.

Barmag's high-performance 20-ends-design is the basis of the new polyester FDY systems with 24 ends, which will go into operation at the beginning of 2007.

The user friendliness, low waste rates and low energy costs underline the performance and cost effectiveness of Barmag's FDY solutions.
