Remscheid/ Bangalore, 15 September 2008 – At INDIA ITME 2008, the eighth international textile machinery show taking place from 15-22.11.08 in Bangalore, Oerlikon Textile will be presenting many successful products and innovations in its 700m2-plus “Circle of Success” (hall 3, A118). For this segment of Swiss high-tech group Oerlikon, the textile growth market of India is one of the main drivers for developing its business.

All five business units (BUs) of Oerlikon Textile will be represented at the Bangalore exhibition site: Oerlikon Barmag, Oerlikon Neumag, Oerlikon Saurer, Oerlikon Schlafhorst and Oerlikon Textile Components. “We want to show by this how significant India is for us as a leading manufacturer of textile machinery and plant,” stresses Dr Carsten Voigtländer. Against this backdrop, the CEO of Oerlikon Textile will announce the forthcoming start of production at the Halol plant. The segment currently employs over 540 people in India – and it aims to grow further there. The technological innovations for this are being exhibited at ITME.
